Example 1

• Limiting Factor: Steep cut banks are too unstable for seed germination and seedling establishment
• Possible mitigating measures: Decrease slope angle, apply wood mulch, imprint soil surface, apply tackifiers

Example 2

• Limiting Factor: Soil pH below 4.5 which affects plant nutrition and plant growth
• Mitigating Measure: Add 2,000 lbs limestone materials to 6 inches of soil to raise pH to 5.5
